This video was actually a test of a new camera I had bought. Lately I have been working on doing animations of some of the songs on Stoneage Rockets. Hopefully I will have some of them available shortly.

I was given a really bad copy of the uncut version of Walt Disney's 'Song of the South' with the original trailer. I have cleaned it up and enhanced the audio.

This is not for profit. I just hate to see a great movie bastardized for politically correct reasons.
When I was given the original copy of "Song of the South" I was surprised to note that it was exactly like I remembered when I first saw it as a youngster. Today this version is no longer available. The reason for this is basically a matter of some people thinking it politically incorrect.

The idea of changing a work of art because it is politically incorrect is nothing new. And numerous examples are available to anyone that takes a little time to do the research. I can name the Pope demanding that Michelangelo put clothes on hi paintings in the Sistine Chapel as one example.

Being Irish I could demand that they edit the "Quiet Man" because it doesn't represent the Irish in the most favorable light. But to do that would totally ruin a great movie.

Works of art are in my opinion exempt from censorship other than what is in good taste decided by the artists. If people decide that the subject is improper they have the option of not viewing, listening or watching the piece. There are things that I don't approve of and I avoid them. But like all free speech, I have to defend the right of people to produce it. Because as soon as I censor the artist I give up my own artistic freedom. This can lead to some disagreeable works of art but keeps freedom intact.
